Prizes for New Haven Debaters
The Yale Debate Association-Urban Debate League Prize for Excellence in Debate
Jointly awarded by our league and Yale's undergraduate debate team, this prize recognizes the top New Haven team at our December tournament. The debaters will receive a cash prize. All participants in the tournament from UDL member schools are eligible.
Awarded to Laila Kelly-Walker and Mari Arnold
The Yale Urban Debate League Award for the top Senior in Leadership and Character
The Urban Debate League will award this prize to a senior in our league who demonstrates exceptional character and leadership skills. Chosen by our coaches and board, the winner will receive a cash prize.
Awarded to Genesis Bendolph
Sponsor an Award
Non-profits, local businesses or individuals are invited to sponsor an award to recognize the achievements of a New Haven debater. We are especially looking for a sponsor for an award for the best novice debater of the year.
